Honey Comb Salon
& Colorlab Bios

I think the most important thing a woman can have,
next to talent of course,
is a great hairdresser.

Brandon Rabideau

Brandon Rabideau

The Entrepreneur/ Pioneer

As the owner and founder of Honeycomb Salon & ColorLab, Brandon still finds time to service clients every day. Since doing a rigorous apprenticeship with Warren Wilkes — the first creative director for Toni & Guy — in Uptown Dallas, Brandon’s career has soared. He loves that he can give his client a self-esteem boost by sitting in his chair. “It’s the look on their face when they see the finished look” says Rabideau. Clients are lining up for his flawless balayage, gorgeous extensions and beautiful precision cuts.

He is a extension specialist and loves the instant impact they have on a client’s overall look. Very outgoing and personable, clients and staff alike love his fun sense of humor paired with his unbelievable talent. He has been a platform artist for T3 and PHYTO and been featured in many publications and television shows. He is driven, hardworking, talented and approachable. His goal is to change the beauty industry for the better. That may sound like a lofty goal, however, if anyone can do it- he can. All that know him admire his tenaciousness and ability to get things done right the first time. He blasts through barriers that most would not even attempt to cross. He loves studying history, riding motorcycles and is a dedicated father. Spending time in his chair is a wonderful experience you will not regret.

Santos Chavez

Santos Chavez

The Professor

As Honeycomb’s in-house Director of Education, it’s easy to see where his nickname came from.  Santos is an incredibly precise hairdresser with emphasis on beautiful color applications and precision haircuts.  He is an amazing corrective cutter, able to transform a bad experience into a beautiful outcome.

His pleasant and calm demeanor- as well as his talent behind the chair- keeps clients leaving with a smile and looking forward to their next visit. Santos has been involved in a number of platform shows and step-by-step videos for hair care companies.  He is completely smitten by his daughter, and enjoys spending time with her.

Erik St. Don

Erik St. Don

The Architect

The punk rock and new wave scene of the early 1980s inspired Erik to start dressing hair. He began his career apprenticing under Chip Wood of Looker Hair Group. His career has spanned three decades, yet the thing he likes most about what he does is “the instant gratification of a client who is pleased with my work; who looks at the final look and you can tell they have an emotional boost.” Pretty humble words coming from a stylist who has so much published work, as well as fashion show and educator experience.

Erik is a flawless haircutter, amazing colorist and extensionist. Erik is a magician when it comes to hairdressing and is constantly evolving as a stylist. Always both current and classic, the looks that come from his chair are as diverse as his clientele, yet they all have one thing in common… beautiful hair. Erik has an incredible ability to understand what a client wants when they aren’t sure how to explain or ask for what they’d like. He has three sons, and enjoys discovering new music, fine dining and skateboarding.

David

David

The Artist

David is a true artist at heart.  The beautiful graffiti art that adorns the walls of Honeycomb are only a small part of his artful contribution to the salon.  His hairdressing approach is classic, yet current.  His clientele is as diverse as it gets, yet David takes the time to listen and formulate a look that suits the client’s personal style and profession. He is an master hair cutter, able to work with all hair types and textures.  His ability to tame coarse, curly hair is second to none, his men’s cuts are amazing and he is a talented corrective cutter as well.

David often freehands different patterns and shapes into the undercut of a bob or a men’s cut. (It’s something to see.) He is also an advanced colorist, and was part of a team of stylists that formulated a color line that won the coveted “Stylists Choice” award 5 years in a row.  He has travelled extensively both as a platform artist and an educator for different haircare brands, and we are lucky that he calls Honeycomb his home. In his free time he likes to practice different art mediums, including street art, and has an impressive collection of minerals, crystals and fossils.
