Brandon E. Waggoner

Brandon E. Waggoner

The Kingpin

Having dressed hair for decades for film and television in LA, this Harley Davidson riding rock star may have rubbed elbows (or dressed the hair of) some of your favorite celebrities. His full IMDB link can be found here. Honeycomb is proud to have him on the roster and he is quickly gaining a very loyal following.

Brandon grew up in the world of hairdressing and film, with his father being a very well respected hairdresser for movies and television, the culture and creativity of the beauty industry appealed to him. Watching the movie Shampoo was a turning point and made him want to pave his own way in the business of beauty. He has been a salon owner, platform artist, and educator for many popular hair care brands. Don’t let his relaxed, easy to talk to nature fool you. He is dead serious when it comes to making his clients look and feel amazing. Radiant dimensional color, beautiful balyage, precision haircuts, flawless extensions and gorgeous finishes allow his work to speak for itself. Clients rave about his services and keep coming back for more. He loves the feeling of bringing a client’s inner beauty to the surface. And lucky for our clients, he has chosen to call Honeycomb his home. At the end of the day “It’s all about the work,” says Waggoner. And his work is truly stunning.

Erik St. Don

Erik St. Don

The Architect

The punk rock and new wave scene of the early 1980s inspired Erik to start dressing hair. He began his career apprenticing under Chip Wood of Looker Hair Group. His career has spanned three decades, yet the thing he likes most about what he does is “the instant gratification of a client who is pleased with my work; who looks at the final look and you can tell they have an emotional boost.” Pretty humble words coming from a stylist who has so much published work, as well as fashion show and educator experience.

Erik is a flawless haircutter, amazing colorist and extensionist. Erik is a magician when it comes to hairdressing and is constantly evolving as a stylist. Always both current and classic, the looks that come from his chair are as diverse as his clientele, yet they all have one thing in common… beautiful hair. Erik has an incredible ability to understand what a client wants when they aren’t sure how to explain or ask for what they’d like. He has three sons, and enjoys discovering new music, fine dining and skateboarding.

Santos Chavez

Santos Chavez

The Professor

As Honeycomb’s in-house Director of Education, it’s easy to see where his nickname came from.  Santos is an incredibly precise hairdresser with emphasis on beautiful color applications and precision haircuts.  He is an amazing corrective cutter, able to transform a bad experience into a beautiful outcome.

His pleasant and calm demeanor- as well as his talent behind the chair- keeps clients leaving with a smile and looking forward to their next visit. Santos has been involved in a number of platform shows and step-by-step videos for hair care companies.  He is completely smitten by his daughter, and enjoys spending time with her.

David

David

The Artist

David is a true artist at heart.  The beautiful graffiti art that adorns the walls of Honeycomb are only a small part of his artful contribution to the salon.  His hairdressing approach is classic, yet current.  His clientele is as diverse as it gets, yet David takes the time to listen and formulate a look that suits the client’s personal style and profession. He is an master hair cutter, able to work with all hair types and textures.  His ability to tame coarse, curly hair is second to none, his men’s cuts are amazing and he is a talented corrective cutter as well.

David often freehands different patterns and shapes into the undercut of a bob or a men’s cut. (It’s something to see.) He is also an advanced colorist, and was part of a team of stylists that formulated a color line that won the coveted “Stylists Choice” award 5 years in a row.  He has travelled extensively both as a platform artist and an educator for different haircare brands, and we are lucky that he calls Honeycomb his home. In his free time he likes to practice different art mediums, including street art, and has an impressive collection of minerals, crystals and fossils.
